Wanna take a guess at how that was handled? Nothing happened to the kid that did this..not even a fucking apology. They just swept the shit under the rug. And what's worst is that they still let the fucker come to family events. Then to have the nerve to try and talk to me everyday about their god every chance they get. My wife finally saw them for being full of it just recently(for other reasons plus this) and we are no longer going to any family things.

I'm so sorry that happened to her poor thing. I'm sire she is still feeling the effects of it too. And how it was handled as if she was,at fault and no support from the very people that was, supposed to protect her. That makes me so angry!!

Yeah I think that's why she has so much anger toward them as of late. She never got to actually deal with the problem.

These fuckers are on my Facebook again with people boohooing that they will no longer be able to watch the child molester and his protectors any more.

Yeah, I've had some people at my work lamenting the loss of that show as well. Dodgy

Ugh. One of my patients last night had on Fox News - the Duggars and how they've been persecuted by libs is all they fucking talked about (well, and how Hannity wants to fellate Trump). Are you fucking kidding me?! What the actual fuck? They were spouting BS about how everyone in the family (the parents, too) was a victim. Uh, no. Maybe victims in terms of religious brainwashing, but the parents were not victims in this. The spin they put on it, details they omitted, was just astounding.

They were also lamenting how Josh got torched when he posted the need of his newborn's birth on Twitter. Tough shit. A child molester just had a baby - if he didn't want to get shit for it, don't keep putting stuff out publicly.

And to top it off, the patient was trans. Really? How can you watch that kind of media bias from a network that perpetuates the very discrimination brought against you? Bangin

I have to quit looking at the comments....the faithful are all about bringing the wonderful show back and it's all God's plan and he will sort it out. Someone else said that the kids were touched over their clothes and it's no big deal.

Where is the Bible verse that says 'go forth and fondle the children'?

What a bunch of dumb asses.

Please correct me if I'm wrong (this is just based upon what I have heard people talking about, I honestly don't care enough to actually do any reaserch), but from what I have heard the family acted mostly responsibly. First of all I heard that the son was not caught but admitted it to his parents on his own initiative. The parents brought him to the police, and they followed the advice of the officer who suggested they not press charges. They then put the son into counseling.
So what particularly nefarious thing did the parents do. They reported it to the police and then acted on the officers advice.
So my question then is to those here who have parents, what would you have done if your son came to you and told you he had done this. How would you have handled it.
I can't really comment since I don't have any kids, but I have always believed that if the law was followed then that is the end of it.
I also believe strongly in second chances and that people can change and people shouldn't be judged on things way in their past, especially if it happened when the were a teenager. I did a lot of stupid things when I was a teenager that I would never do today.
So there is my two cents. Of course my information might be horribly off, in which case mea culpa.

I'm homophobic in the same way that I'm arachnophobic. I'm not scared of gay people but I'm going to scream if I find one in my bath.

I'm. Also homophobic in the same way I'm arachnophobic. I'm scared of spiders but I'd still fuck'em.

That officer is now spending life in prison for pedophilia. Not the best character witness.

I figure that that is irrelevant in terms of the families culpability unless they knew that beforehand. That is more of an indictment against the police than it is against the family.
