Velociraptors where not that large

Utahraptors were not aggressive. Again though, it makes a lot more sense in the book anyway. Yes Crichton deliberately chose to name them Velociraptors because he felt it was a more intimidating name, but we also know that what the scientists created were NOT 65-million year old dinosaurs, but rather imperfect mutant creatures with their own characteristics.

Seriously though, I imagine Crichton rolled over in his grave the day Jurassic World was released. I still do not understand why they didn't make use of all the great unused material that's found in the books?

Then dakotaraptor.

I may be misremembering but didn't the original jurrassic park book have a tameish raptor that assisted the protagonists?

ETA further research shows that while technically correct I am likely remembering the baby raptor found by Lex and Tim which does help them from a certain point of view.

Correct. Lex pets it because it has yet to imprint on another raptor.
