Wink Kangaroos! Let me show them.
One thing foreigners often ask is "do you have kangaroos in your backyard/main street/public library". The answer is, of course, "yes".

A mob of about 16 eastern grey kangaroos visit my yard each day. Once in the morning and once at dusk.

They are the epitome of punctuality.

Working on the presumption that it is ok to post pickchers, here are a couple:

An adult male (buck) and a joey:

A separate shot of the joey:

We also have a wombat who lurks around be since he is crepuscular (look it up) he's rarely seen and thus yet to be papped. He is HUEG however. We're talking Rosie O'Donnell squared.

Does anyone else get wildlife visiting their yards?

I always knew this was true, and have been jealous ever sinceBig Grin
Other wildlife? squirrels and stray cats and sometimes mice with their ribcage exposed. Lovely.

The squirrel that shows up in my back yard has lost some of his appeal now. Maybe the opossum will come back...sigh...

I'm not anti-social. I'm pro-solitude. Sleepy

I'll be sure to get a pic the next time my cat drops the back half of a rabbit on the front porch with it's entrails draggin behind. That and the neighbor's dog is about all I get.

(I know he's just trying to contribute, but that shit is horrible to pick up all the time!) Sadcryface

But now I have come to believe that the whole world is an enigma, a harmless enigma that is made terrible by our own mad attempt to interpret it as though it had an underlying truth.

Cool, had a few pet roo's as kid. brings back memories. they all went spaz at 8-12 months old.
one attacked the air conditioner vent like it was a rival. another (unprovoked) beat up the dog pretty bad.
Wild animals they truly are.

Cheers!

I have ringtails in my roof. They don't seem to do any harm so there they stay. There are also swamp wallabies (a kind of euro) and red necked wallabies which visit the yard from time to time.

Has anyone tried? I wanna ride a kangaroo now.

No, and you can't ride emu's either. Smile

You could try to ride a 'roo, but you're likely to get disemboweled. The bucks are really big. 6 foot+ in some cases. And strong.

You may also get raped. They're quite horny. Smile
