Keep car or trade and lease. What do?
Keep 2011 Nissan Sentra 2.0SL w/ 41k miles at 357/month?

Or

Trade in and lease 2014 Ford Fusion Energi plug in hybrid for 36 months at 387/month?

Sentra has leather, blue tooth, power. No power seat or auto headlights.

Fusion has 106mpge with leather, adaptive cruise, blind spot monitoring, bluetooth, nav, sunroof, self park, heated/cooled seats, etc.

Sentra has about 24 payments left at 0%.

I really love the Fusion. But I really like the idea of owning the Sentra and having a paid off car. Thing is, the Sentra will need new tires soon and will be out of warranty when it's paid off.

Even if only for a short while, a paid off car is a wonderful thing.

Fuck it, get a hummer!

Its worth noting that between work and home I won't pay for any electricity for plugging in. So barring trips over 35 miles I'll have zero fuel costs.

Sentra. It's the financially sensible move. It'll be paid off in 24months.

Yeah, in almost every situation, I would advise against leasing a car.

Forget the car. Move to America and get a gun Yes

Damn Dee, obsessing a bit ? Maybe a Sherman wont do for you. Unsure

Anyway...... leasing is a losing proposition, having a paid off car is worth the savings, rarely will you spend even close to payments, what it costs in repairs and maintenance for a paid off vehicle.

If you were to have a major expense repair, such as a engine or transmission, then I would consider buying another car. Just my .02

If bullshit were music some people would be a brass band.

Keep the car, pay it off, then if you still want to try out newer cars, lease one while you keep the old one.

Having a paid off car makes a lot of sense.

We have not had any car note in over a year and what we have been able to do with the extra money is great. I have an 08 mazda 3 and I hope I can get 4 more years (10 total) out of it.
