Killing Floor 2
Again, hopeful nobody'll have covered this here already

Killing Floor started off as a humble little game. T'was nary more than a mod in its first incarnation and no more in its release as a distinct game.
But it has grown and achieved considerable success, having sold 2.5 million copies since 2014, apparently with much outcry from fans for a second game.

And here it is.

Killing Floor 2 retains the same base concept as the first, to quote the games creative director: "Killing Floor is a simple game, you have weapons. You see something that looks messed up. And you kill it. You get money for doing it and you buy better weapons. Rinse and repeat. The more enjoyable that small little loop is, the more successful the game is."
The concept has not changed, but Tripwire Interactive has gone from a team of ten to one of fifty members and while it used to use loans to get its games out, Tripwire now plenty of funds which over the past two years it has been gleefully throwing at its staff who have been working on the coming sequel, with special emphasis on making the game as gory and 'sick' as possible.

And by gory, they mean it; featuring a large array of ways and things to dismember and blood to spew forth from, topped off with a wonderful looking graphics engine which just makes the release screen-shots of gory look heavenly.
I have a fear that this game might be forced to go the way of Left 4 Dead 2 here in Aus. Probably shouldn't be a problem.

The people closely associated with the namesake of female canines are suffering from a nondescript form of lunacy.

I'm pretty excited about this! Do wonder if the costumes/characters you have from KF would transfer to KF2. I rather enjoy running around being Captain Wiggins and Reverend Albert.

I say, it is brilliant that Tripwire has taken the time it has, and will continue to. I have absolutely no problem with long development cycles.
It is a good thing that they have already taken at least two years on the development before announcement; the more time they take to focus on it, the better it'll be consider their focus on it.

As a side note, I was tempted to call this thread something along the lines of "Hey, EvolutionKills! Killing Floor 2!".

Your government banned halo 3, and that was not bad. You can kiss this game good bye free thought

We got Mortal Wombat last year as part of the R-18 rating advent.

So shaddup. Again.
