I challenge you to debate on the existence of souls.

My position:

1. The belief in an eternal soul that lives beyond the death of the body is no more than a psychological tool developed to allay the fear of death
2. An "active" soul (a soul that affects our actions) can be scientifically proven or disproven through establishing the existence or non-existence of non-natural forces acting upon the human brain
3. A "passive" or "observer" soul cannot be proven or disproven, but can be rendered philosophically moot



I challenge you to state your definition of a soul, and defend it against reason and logic.

I physically don't have the time or fortitude to participate in a debate of this nature on this scale.
