My disappoint is real.

I feel totally stupid. I've never heard of shibari so I googled it.

All righty then!! Shocking
I learned something new today. This is what makes TTA so great. It's educational.

I'm stunned. I didn't know this even existed. I mean, I knew about bondage and S & M and all that but this is incredible.

Well, I found one photo I can post.

It's okay, I didn't know what that was either. Wink

Again, I hope you got out of that position first.

Hold that position for 12 hours, and I'll drive up and give you an inoculation that will remove the tension! Tongue

It can be beautiful and at times painful. The feeling of freedom it can bring is huge.

And without so much as a mere touch, cut me into little pieces

You know that's a good ten hours of holding the position...

It's not a quick process and untying safely takes a long time too, especially when suspension is used.

She was the last to be tied into that, most likely. The tree weave would be first. I've watched demonstrations of ties similar in complexity being done.

The first one I witnessed was a woman being incorporated into a web design between two trees. It was beautiful. She was tied in almost from the start but it only took about 2 hours.

I went to munch in San Francisco once, it was 6 hour seminar all on shibari. It was fascinating. The guy did a spiderweb design, the first part with the bottom on the ground. The second part was suspended.

It was gorgeous.

I've played with it, but never suspended, I'm scared shitless of heights.
