LMAO at MSNBC
They did a piece on gun violence then asked their viewers to vote on their website if Americans should be allowed to carry guns in public.

Currently 92% of approx. 450,000 votes say yes.

I don't get the humors, like.. internet polling works this way all the time. Just go look at any random strawpoll that gets attention from people to actually go to the site to vote there, mostly if its large in people some folks were joking about it.

More gun control laws would reduce gun deaths. There were 464,033 total gun deaths between 1999 and 2013: 270,237 suicides (58.2% of total deaths); 174,773 homicides (37.7%); and 9,983 unintentional deaths (2.2%). [4] Guns were the leading cause of death by homicide (66.6% of all homicides) and by suicide (52.2% of all suicides). Firearms were the 12th leading cause of all deaths,

The humor in it is that they went through the trouble of running an entire segment on gun control, interviewing politicians who say guns are bad, that we can't be trusted, that guns should be for police only. Then they ask people to go to their website and vote only to see a huge majority of votes disagree with the premise of their news story.

It backfired. I'm sure they expected their audience to agree with them. They usually announce the results in a later segment but as of now they haven't brought it up.

Maybe some or all of this stuff?

a) No (lifetime) firearms license for anybody on parole or previously convicted of any crime, or awaiting sentencing for a crime of violence,
b) Prior, paid up (6 month?) membership of an accredited gun club,
c) Minimum compulsory gun club training prior to license application,
d) Government certification as evidence for b) and c),
e) 3 week (?) lead time for physically receiving firearm after purchase (cooling-off period),
f) Maximum allowed quantity of ammunition purchased recorded on state register and cross-linked with all gun shops,
g) 100-point identification process including photographic,
h) Limitations on firearm types and calibres,
i) Limitations on number of firearms held by an individual based on type and/or purpose,
j) Lifetime firearms license ban for anyone breaching any/all gun laws.

I figured that, but not sure what your position is, seen lots of people on the net fall for crap like this. And there are even atheists who do support Trump.
