Bought from a takeaway chana masala and naan is superb, shop bought it tastes like the excreta from a pig with dysentery.

The restaurant I go to is ah-mazing! The chana masala is delicious when this one guy cooks it. When the other guy cooks it, he changes up the recipe and it's kinda runny and too spicy (and for me to say that, it's pretty fucking spicy Wink ) and he puts huge onion slices in it on top of all of that. Unfortunately, yesterday was the onion guy, but it was still pretty good. Tongue

Wanted something light today so only apple and cinnamon yogurt.

I need to stop opening this thread when I am hungry...

Looking forward to leftovers for lunch today but don't know if I feel like piecing together more wontons.

That is a different combo, but I like both of those foods. But I also have weird combos that I do too. Like I love sweet and spicy things together. And I mean together. I could eat a chocolate cupcake and then chase that with tortilla chips and salsa/guac.

I've never made wontons--are they that hard to put together? I think I would have a hard time making sure they stayed closed, without having veggies poke out of the sides.

I sometimes buy vanilla (vegan) yogurt and slice up some apples and sprinkle some cinnamon on top--so good Thumbsup

Good idea. But when I go light and fast route then it is really light and fast - as in opening and eating fast Smile

Not hard, just time consuming if you do it completely from scratch. The wrappers are plenty sticky enough to stay closed when wet.

My (Chinese) ex-wife's godmother would make a social event out of it. She'd have like 10 of her friends over with a huge pot of wrappers and filling and they'd just spend an hour or two chatting and making dumplings / wontons. Fun times. Too bad she was insane Hobo

I'll have to try to make some. I don't have a lot of patience with cooking. I just want the food to be done, so I can hurry up and eat Big Grin

Why was she insane? Did she wear a wonton on her head while she made them? Unsure Tongue

RE: What did you eat today?
It's got a name, but I don't know what it is. We just call it hillbilly quiche. lay a half sheet of Pillsburry crescent dough in the bottom of a small baking dish. cover with a mixture of sausage, egg and cream cheese. Put another sheet of crescent dough on top and bake. It's quick, easy and actually pretty good.
