Laser based molecular scanner
Quote:As ludicrously farfetched as the headline sounds, there is in fact a new laser-based scanner built by Genia Photonics – who is currently in “a strategic partnership and technology development agreement with In-Q-Tel
– which can detect traces of just about anything on your person from a
stunning 50 meters, or 164 feet away in somewhere around
1/1000000000000th of a second.

Quote:Very soon the Department of Homeland Security won’t have to touch you to know everything it wants to know about you. Using a new laser-based scannerthat
fires a beam from about 164 feet, the government will be able to see
everything it wants to see about your body, your clothes, and what’s in
your suitcase. Reports indicate that the soon-to-be-deployed scanner is
so powerful that it can detect everything from “what you had for
breakfast to the adrenaline level in your body.”

For no matter how much I use these symbols, to describe symptoms of my existence.
You are your own emphasis.
So I say nothing.

RE: Laser based molecular scanner
This is inevitable imo. More control over the people using less resources.

Good or bad, time will tell.

They'll probably find out ten years later it causes cancer too!!! Dodgy

I like this comment at the bottom of the page:-

'One wonders if they can devise a mechanism to read the human spirit
(tongue in cheek). If so, it would be good that they see more of real
Americans, as the shoe of fear will then be on the other foot, where it
Constitutionally belongs.'

Humankind Dodgy (a total misnomer)

I would argue that the government would have a difficult time even getting near a monopoly on resources. Even if all our energy sources went green, there would still be companies competing for it. Solar energy, wind turbines, hydroelectric, etc.

Good, less damage to our world. xD

Ah, well, did you know that you will get cancer from your computer, television, cell phone, or microwave? ;D
