I'm sure there's a joke about Hobby Lobby somewhere in there.

RE: Laughtable North Korean Drones
If it's stupid and it works, it ain't stupid. We can talk about whether it was a toy or not all we like. The important questions are:
* Did the operation meet its objectives?
* Is the operation able to continue its mission?

A fairly standard exercise in value analysis is to examine every component in your system and ask what is the cheapest solution that could possibly meet the function. From there you must answer why that solution isn't sufficient in order to justify a more expensive part. Cheap parts that meet the function are good parts. Cheap UAVs that meet their objectives are good UAVs.

In the tank battle between Nazi and Allied forces, they had us beat. Individually they had better tanks. It was the combination of our tanks being cheaper and more readily produceable that enabled us to attack in sufficient numbers to offset their individual advantage.

If these vehicles can acquire the necessary intelligence and in most cases make it back over the border, and to do so going forward with relative impunity then they are a good vehicle. Although, if the primary mission is intimidation perhaps they have not met their mark.

Give me your argument in the form of a published paper, and then we can start to talk.

What gets me is that N. Korea is allied with China, one of the top manufactures of RC aircraft at the cheapest prices on the planet.

The engine on that is fine for the job at hand since nitro will last a hell of a lot longer then any battery will, and weigh quite a bit less.

This has to have a FPV and GPS systems and the camera would be fine for aerial spy pictures.

The crash was probably a result from a servo malfunction, the Chinese have a problem getting them perfected for some reason.

If bullshit were music some people would be a brass band.
