Actually my granddaughter claimed I was a pirate.. U see a cpl years ago while I was out working on my tractor,a large screw driver slipped and stabbed me in the left eye...I dayum near lost it....anyway...at the emergency room they irrigated and gave me a black patch to wear. When we got home my granddaughter was there ...she took one look and said........oh grandpaw....i'm sorry"....heck no she said arrrrrgh...you look a pirate to me......so it kinda has stuck now for a cpl years....LOL.

RE: Let My People Go!
Well thnax for the welcome..

What a nice picture.
I remember as a kid looking at all the old B&W's of my grand parents from the 1920's and 30's. Looking and thinking they were gangsters or such by the way the dressed. I recall one photo of my moms mother and moms Dad shortly after their wedding day....they were posed against and old fat fender Packard automobile...must've been around the mid 1920's...there abouts. My grandmother was dressed in a short "Flapper" style dress with a fashionable hat of some sort and she was leaning back on the fender.....Grandpaw was dressed in a full length "fur" coat with a derby stlye hat......wow!

What a shock to see your folks like that..... As I got a little older I came to realize ....hey my Family were real folks....warts and all! It wasn't or didn't seem to be the same folks I held in esteem in my heart...but yet they were....they were real people who lived real lives....

Hey thanx for posting that.....Smile

Hi there John Silver. Welcome to the forum. I'm a newbie here too. I see in your first post you used the words 'I don't know', they are the foundation of knowledge and understanding. Smile

The other thing people don't realise about science which differentiates it from religion is that, the most exciting thing about being a scientist is not knowing and being wrong. Because that means there is a lot left to learn.
