Did anyone mention the men with donkey sized wieners yet?

"There she lusted after her lovers, whose genitals were like those of donkeys and whose emission was like that of horses." - Ezekiel 23:20

It's right out of a Hallmark card. Wink

I like the way the writer must have been thinking: "It won't make my point enough if the emissions are merely like donkeys...I'll go with horses so no one misunderstands me!"

The Old Testament is full of valuable wisdom, like Proverbs and Psalms. I had a dream I was in Heaven once after reading Psalms, it was such a great dream.

Yeah. I remember that bit about grabbing baby's heads and smashing them on rocks. Right outta the Psalms I believe. Valuable wisdom indeed.

Psalm 137:9

Introducing, the OT: so valuable, the "little red Bible" nipped out the whole thing, except for the two 'tamer' books, which are still, incredibly full of cow dung.

Many of the Proverbs are quite wise. The ones that have God in them would be useful if he actually existed.

Sorry, I posted it in some thread about bushes and Moses and stuff. Then I figured that thread was about a really good acid trip or something. So i pulled it from there, and moved it here. Didn't really get what was going on in that thread, but, it reminded me of this, though.

This thread is about how ridiculous the Genesis account of Abraham is, when put into perspective.

Definitely a parody. My theist friends, don't be offended. My atheist friends, enjoy.

Anyone remember that time Abram went into Egypt and pretended Sarai was his sister and not his wife (technically she was both. Ew.) for some reason, and then the land was cursed because the Pharaoh tried to get with her? (Gen. 12)

Remember that time Abraham did the same exact thing with king Abimalech 8 chapters later?

Remember that time the SAME EXACT THING happened with Isaac and Rebekah with the SAME king 6 chapters later?

Just... Facepalm

wtf...

Remember that time when Moses was god's little teacher's pet and then, he wasn't? So god was gonna kill him, but his wife cut a chunk off of their son's penis and offered it to god to let Moses live? And god said, okay, cool, I'll take it, he can live?

Yeah. That one always does it for me.
