RE: Let's talk Sanders.
I feel like if it came to Trump vs Bernie, Bernie would win because he doesn't seem to have a negative rep like Trump and Hillary have. The only negative thing I see about Bernie is that he's a socialist, but even then do most American citizens know what that means?

RE: Let's talk Sanders.
Outsider's opinion from Europe:
Ultimately, it comes down to whoever the undecideds and political nones vote for - Hillary can be attacked in the campaign with her husband's affairs, with the Clinton foundation's support of african dictatorships and even with her gender. Determined democrats will vote for her despite all that but when Trump seems the less corrupt option, the last-minute voters will pick him.

Sanders, however, can bring in the lower-income generation Y members, who normally abstain from politics. All politicians before, including Trump, have neglected this group because of 2 reasons:
- Their campaign experts are usually older and less experienced in social media campaigns, which is sometimes the only form of media these groups consume. Whatever they come up with is more likely to end up as a humorous meme than a serious message.
- They don't seem to realize that education has become unaffordable for a big chunk of the population, that social security is a joke and that societcal polarization is increasing. Young adults feel no politician is listening to them: heck, they'd vote for fascists if those promised that if one's fired from their job, they won't starve before they find another!

Maaaaybe. It sure as shit wont a greenie though. The majority of Americans believe global warming is a hoax created by scientists to generate funding...

Tell us why you think they push that hoax? They told us 40 years ago that the sea level would rise by 3 meters before the end of the 20th century, and when it didn't no apology nor even pretended apology. Like the people who think Jesus is coming on a particular day and when the day comes and goes they are silent. If it is science it should be able to make predictions that are based in fact, I thunk!

40 years ago science of climate change wasn't where it is today, also some things, especially stuff based on Earth and atmosphere interacting, are extremely complex, and still not well understood. Science is good, but it ain't magic. It can't *really* predict the future, just make guesses. They made a guess that didn't come about as they predicted, but global warming is fact, and the effects are likely to be a. unpredictable b. catastrophic. Also, c. unstoppable Undecided

Who should make an apology anyway? The guys who urged a more cautious approach or the gung-ho pollute-and-be-damned crowd?

I think if he can beat Hillary he will be President by the years end.

BUT will he beat Hillary? I mean she has boobs and he's an old white man. Bush ruined the old white man thing and the Demo's are on a streak with this whole non-old-white-men thing they got going on. Plus Demo's for some odd reason do like Bill, even though he's a fucking twat.

I really hope Sanders get's the nomination and than goes on to become your president. You guys NEED someone like Sanders to catch you up with the rest of the western world because this whole conservative Christian fuck the commies shit you've had going on since the end of doubleyou-doubleyou two ain't working out for you so good, especially you lot on this forum.

What a ride if he does win though. From the worst candidates in US history with the likes of Trump and Carson, to what could possibly be your best president yet (at least best in my life time so far. JFK and your old ones like Abe were alright.).
I love free stuff. Sanders is my guy. Please, Sanders, give me free stuff.
Oh, wait. There is no such thing as free stuff. Somebody has to be robbed first.

You guys have taxes similar to the rest of western countries.
You are literally paying the same but getting less and worst.

You wanna talk about getting robbed? How about the every day American citizen being robbed because the government would rather subsidize billion dollar oil corporations than pay for someone's life dependent operation?

How about the every day American who are being robbed of their right of government to serve THEM not the big pharma or big tobacco or big Christian or whatever the fuck big corporation is the flavor of the month that is stuffing money into whatever politicians pocket?

You're such an ignorant dumb fuck that I actually pity you.

He might just be all talk, but it seems like Sanders is the most serious about reforming wall street, and money and superpacs in politics. Who knows if he could ever do anything about it though.

Too many Americans find both Trump and Sanders unacceptable, and a third party challenge might find it possible to gain traction in that environment.

In a year of strange politics, we might find that for the first time in centuries, we will have an election that is not determined by the vote, but by the House of Representatives for the President, and by the Senate for the Vice President. An even more bizarre outcome would be if the Senate flips from GOP to Democratic control--we'd end up with a GOP president and Democratic Vice President. An even more bizarre outcome than that would be a 50/50 Senate, in which case Vice President Biden would end up casting the deciding vote and select his own successor to his office.

3rd party lol! LOL! LOL!!

This is 'Murica son. The country that parades itself around like it's the king of democracy whilst having the worst democracy in the at least the western world if not the whole world. No 3rd party will ever win a US election, especially while they're rocking the FPP system. They would sooner elect Trump.

Yes, third party runs have happened before in the US. They always end up playing spoiler. In recent history, Perot running resulted in Clinton winning with 43% of the vote over Bush Sr, Nader running resulted in President Bush Jr over Gore.

In the early 1900s when the GOP was the progressive party, Teddy Roosevelt as a former president previously running on the GOP ticket broke ranks and ran as his own Progressive party. Without the Progressives in their ranks, the GOP lost (not just to the Democrats, but they were outperformed by new Progressives).

In this election cycle, I could imagine Mayor Bloomberg running and financing his own third party bid (similar to how the wealthy Perot did in the 90s). A serious 3rd party challenge that splinters the vote will certainly elect Trump, unless it splinters the vote just shy of denying anyone a majority of the electoral college votes. There are other possible scenarios for third party runs that may not end up winning, but could affect the outcome.

I don't necessarily think he's being untruthful about his desire and intent to change these perceived evils, I just don't think he really understands the full scope of what he's getting himself into, and how little leverage he would actually have to push for the kind of changes he's after.

But I guess I'd take good intentions over the other realistic options.

My own vote would still go to a third party. I firmly believe that breaking the two party rule is more important than any of the other standard issues in the debates.
