Count me in!

Can I put a link to my website (hehe) or would that get me banned?

I kinda like this idea, but I'm hating some of the details.

Mainly, I don't think simply calling out "Equivocation Fallacy!" is going to go over well. It's safe to say that a large chunk of these people (I won't say majority, don't know for sure) won't be trained in formal logic or critical thinking. That would be meaningless to them (and, after a bit, irritating). I'd want to sell the idea of why the logical fallacy is bad, in addition to pointing it out.

That was the idea, but I really didn't articulate it well at all.

We wouldn't be able to come out and say "Hey we're Atheists." We'd just have to *do it.*

There would need to be rules so we don't get too out of hand and start eating babies and stuff.

Liiiike MAYBE:

1. Doing nothing except pointing out logical fallacies where they appear in an argument. Not asserting an atheist point of view, at least for about a week, just pointing out logical fallacies. At random. In random threads. Everywhere.

2. No starting threads. Just show up in threads that are already there.

3. Be nice, sociable, etc.

4. No swearing, overt sexual language (wow, that one's going to be hard for me), stuff like that.

5. At least at first, no actual criticism of the Bible itself.... just a logical fallacy police action, as it were. Tongue

I think it would be both funny and informative.
It could be entertaining but only mildly informative. Typically, theists prefer the company of their own for a good reason; they desperately seek to reinforce the convenient illusion.

Or we could just go there and do nothing but ask awkward questions. It would probably take longer for them to realise.

I haven't been banned from any christian forum.

I joined a couple but it always felt like I was punching disabled babies in the face whenever I exposed logic holes.

Theism is to believe what other people claim, Atheism is to ask "why should I".

Looks like someone likes his babies tenderized first?
