You are conflating being ashamed of his parents with his state of happiness....but you do that because you have this need to be right all the time.

This is the support forum and we shouldn't be arguing over this but rather supporting Ducky. My advice to her is consider the child's happiness. If he is happier being a born again take some solace in that. If he isn't engaging in self destructive behavior then this situation isn't a tragedy.
