I'm sorry. Cancer just sucks.

*shoulder bump*

Some of them do Ferdinand...just like in my IRL family. Tongue

See here they are, the bruises, some were self-inflicted and some showed up along the way. - JF

It's jarring. This was her third round with breast cancer... third...shit, I can only hope I only have to do this once. While I certainly don't downplay the loss to her friends and family I have to say it actually scares me. The big cancer shadow seems to be especially dark again. Along with my tests being up, this is unnerving...I need to figure out a way and a place to collect myself again.

I will be meeting with other members of the support group tonight to pay respects.

Feels a whole lot like the ground beneath my feet is shifting...No

Just know that you aren't alone in your grief. We feel you, Anjele.

Work for me was busy, thank goodness, today. Now I have to head up to be with the group and I am coming apart at the seams. That's so hard for me...I hate feeling out of control.

Hubby is being his usual asshole self and tells me that I shouldn't feel like I do...wonder if he realizes that his dismissal makes me feel murderous. I suppose the plus is that anger usually helps me right myself since I am not supposed to take any time to grieve or be scared.

I really think it scares him for me to not be strong.

UGH, just fucking UGH!

My great grandfather, who died when I was about 13 had several different types of cancer in his life time. The first type he got was actually breast cancer, as odd as it seems. They kept giving him a death sentence...repeatedly told him he had less than a year, but somehow he kept managing to beat it, at least for over 30 years. He died at the ripe old age of 90 or 91. He was well active up until about the age of 89. There is always reason to stay positive.

Thanks Dark...I think I am mostly rocked by how hard the news hit me.

The crab's only 1 for 3 on my family members.

Good on you, modern medicine - that's a passing grade!

My highschool jazz band always used to play the opening gig for my hometown Relay for Life. That was always interesting.

Understandably so, death has a way of doing that, but don't let it discourage you.
