Ah I see, mine is meant to be Japanese but the word in Chinese is the same so... It's ok either way. And thank you, I try not to be.

Linguistics is interesting and I enjoyed studying some of it, but I don't think I would want a PhD in it eheh I'm more into the pure language learning and mastering.

Welcome, maybe you could answer a question I have about the solar energy required to drive the Noahtic flood evaporation cycle.
Sorry, not intending to hijack, I just have an unanswered question. Big Grin

すごい!

Me too. I really enjoy finding out new things about languages. It's amazing how just knowing a few phrases in a foreign language, properly pronounced, can open doors. Japanese intrigues me, but I never could seem to find any native speakers to practice with. I used the Pimsleur tapes for a while, but lost interest.

There is a terrific thread over at ISF, (formerly JREF) which went on seemingly forever with an otherwise very bright fundamentalist Christian YECer that addresses all these questions. I'll attempt to find it and post it here.

ETA: I'm pretty sure this is the thread I was thinking of, but I don't have time look for the evaporation cycle stuff. There is a discussion of the Woodmorappe book that defends the feasibility of the ark.

Thanks. Like the Hume quote.
