Lyrics of your favorite song.
Hi!
I want to know lyrics of your favorite song. So please post lyrics of your favorite song. My favorite song is " My Heart Will Go On " of Titanic movie.
“Every night in my dreams
I see you. I feel you.
That is how I know you go on.
Far across the distance
And spaces between us
You have come to show you go on.
Near, far, wherever you are
I believe that the heart does go on
Once more you open the door
And you`re here in my heart
And my heart will go on and on
Love can touch us one time
And last for a lifetime
And never let go till we`re gone
Love was when I loved you
One true time I hold to
In my life we`ll always go on
Near, far, wherever you are
I believe that the heart does go on
Once more you open the door
And you`re here in my heart
And my heart will go on and on
You`re here, there`s nothing I fear,
And I know that my heart will go on
We`ll stay forever this way
You are safe in my heart
And my heart will go on and on “

RE: Lyrics of your favorite song.
I'm sensing a pattern here, but whatever.

My favorite song is "Locomotive Breath" by Jethro Tull. Link here.

In the shuffling madness
Of the locomotive breath
Runs the all-time loser
Headlong to his death
Oh, he feels the pistons scraping
Steam breaking on his brow
Old Charlie stole the handle
And the train, it won't stop going
No way to slow down

Hey, hey

He sees his children jumping off
At stations one by one
His woman and his best friend
In bed and having fun
Oh, he's crawlin' down the corridor
On his hands and knees
Old Charlie stole the handle
And the train, it won't stop going
No way to slow down

Hey, hey

He hears the silence howling
Catches angels as they fall
And the all-time winner
Has got him by the balls
Oh, he picks up Gideon's Bible
Open at page one
But God, he stole the handle
And the train, it won't stop going
No way to slow down

No way to slow down

"Sometimes it is better to light a flamethrower than to curse the darkness."
- Terry Pratchett

RE: Lyrics of your favorite song.
I don't think I have a favorite song... Still, here's a song I simply love and just heard:

Radiohead - I might be wrong

I might be wrong
I might be wrong
I could've sworn I saw a light coming on

I used to think
I used to think
There was no future left at all
I used to think

Open up, begin again
Let's go down the waterfall
Think about the good times and never the bad
Never the bad

What would I do?
What would I do?
If I did not have you

Open up and let me in
Let's go down the waterfall
Have ourselves a good time, it's nothing at all
It's nothing at all
Nothing at all

Never look back
Never look back

RE: Lyrics of your favorite song.
Tears for the Sheep
A city of fools, I want to bash whoever's responsible for this incomprehensible lack of passion
The sucker's been seduced down to the stick, and the peasants fill their bellies with the poisons you omit
I've come to seperate the heads and shoulders of these tracing paper soldiers that have been designated to take it over.
I'm gonna roll a couple boulders off the cliff, on the road below
look out below, 'cause I dont know what I might hit.
I live by the word until i die by your sword, even when i'm dead my head will live inside your RCA cord
I wait for the right time but it resembled now-a-days, descended on the earth to put an END to all your holidays.
The Assassin, covered in plain clothes, smother the sunlight and set flame to your rainbows and then came the storm..bewildered, those that couldnt contemplate fake disguised as the Norm
and when the smoke evaporated and the damage was assessed, the casualties were counted as they looked upon the mess, as the focused their eyes on the horizon who'da guessed? all that stood atop the hill was number seven silhoutte

They say a picture is worth a thousand words.
Well I beg a thousand pardons for each word I've used for personal gains
But the letters that float through my head, to mold my sentences could never be contained by your simple picture frames
For every intoxicated moment I hate life, I strive to balance my aura by dancing with the light
And sometimes it's difficult to stay quiet
I fight it, each time I find myself walking across your eyelids
Wishin' the malnutritioned imagination of yours could see the truth you breathe through each one of your pores,
And now the days are drastic, the nights last forever wanna tear this motherfucker up and put it back together
I'd like to ask the cats that act like they might hear If you spent the energy I've spent tryin' to count the tears
One of these days you're gonna climb the tallest building of all, give a warning to those below and let the tears fall
And with these head-splitting tears, cement breaking, weeping for these people walking in their sleep..
My talk is not as cheap and my thoughts are not as deep as the day I woke up to discover I'd lost my sheep.

RE: Lyrics of your favorite song.
You, the walking wounded
You, the hopeless victim
You, who craved new feelings
Risked it all to get them
I thought you may be stronger
Thought your fight was greater
When I watched you falling
How I pitied what you were
I could have made you whole
instead you gave in
Now I'll leave you lying pale and wounded
Thought you may be worthy
I thought your soul was brighter
Hoped we'd share forever
Dreamt of flying with you
I saw you had some spirit
Saw the spark of fire
Tasted only water
Left you drowning on the floor
Barely walking wounded
Barely walking wounded
Wounds of apathy and
Wounds that should have healed
I have loved you briefly
I have given freely
You denied me your trust
I shed no tears for you

RE: Lyrics of your favorite song.
God is a concept
By which we measure
Our pain
I'll say it again
God is a concept
By which we measure
Our pain

I don't believe in magic
I don't believe in I-ching
I don't believe in Bible
I don't believe in tarot
I don't believe in Hitler
I don't believe in Jesus
I don't believe in Kennedy
I don't believe in Buddha
I don't believe in Mantra
I don't believe in Gita
I don't believe in Yoga
I don't believe in kings
I don't believe in Elvis
I don't believe in Zimmerman
I don't believe in Beatles
I just believe in me
Yoko and me
And that's reality

The dream is over
What can I say?
The dream is over
Yesterday
I was the Dreamweaver
But now I'm reborn
I was the Walrus
But now I'm John
And so dear friends
You'll just have to carry on
The dream is over

RE: Lyrics of your favorite song.
Speaks To Me

There’s a breeze
Carried over time
Always free
Bearing nature’s rhymes
Speaks to me
In whispers when I listen
When my ears tell my eyes what to see

There’s an earth
Judging all that falls
Equal worth
After final calls
Speaks to me
In colors when I’m watching
When its scent tells my eyes what to see

And the sea
Yet to tell its glory
From its seeds
Lost to another story
Speaks to me
From the depths of its knowledge
When the doors on its shores open up to me

And in the sky
Where burdens cannot dwell
The breath of life
No man can ever sell
Speaks to me
When it takes a moment
When its fury calms enough to send a breeze

RE: Lyrics of your favorite song.
I'm having problems choosing just one song. I have a few Pink Floyd songs that i just love to pieces. Wish you where here, Poles Apart, Wearing the Inside Out, High Hopes, Hey You, Nobody Home and Comfortably Numb are all up there but I guess I have to choose just one so I pick the latest addition to my favorite Pink Floyd songs:

Pink Floyd - The Gunners Dream

Floating down through the clouds
Memories come rushing up to meet me now
But in the space between the heavens
And in the corner of some foreign field
I had a dream
I had a dream
Goodbye max
Goodbye ma
After the service when you're walking slowly to the car
And the silver in her hair shines in the cold November air
You hear the tolling bell
And touch the silk in your lapel
And as the tear drops rise to meet the comfort of the band
You take her frail hand
And hold on to the dream

A place to stay
Enough to eat
Somewhere old heroes shuffle safely down the street
Where you can speak out loud
About your doubts and fears
And what's more no-one ever disappears
You never hear their standard issue kicking in your door
You can relax on both sides of the tracks
And maniacs don't blow holes in bandsmen by remote control
And everyone has recourse to the law
And no-one kills the children anymore
And no-one kills the children anymore
Night after night
Going round and round my brain
His dream is driving me insane

In the corner of some foreign field
The gunner sleeps tonight
What's done is done
We cannot just write off his final scene
Take heed of the dream
Take heed

How in the sweet noodly embrace of the Flying Spaghetti Monster do you bump a coprolitic thread like this after five years??

How? By posting in it.

Why? Because I'm trying to be somewhat active (Well just not be totally in active) on a forum I stumbled and that I am unsure on how to get a foot hold on. Me being relatively shy and generally unsure of myself, especially on a foreign place like this.
So i just click around for a bit and if I feel some safety in posting in a thread I'll do it.

Was I not supposed to post here?
