Machines are getting too good at judging humans
Code: Kaggle, a San Francisco-based startup that hosts data science competitions, has uncovered some disconcerting insights about human behavior in its two-year run. At times, its founders have been surprised by the accuracy of an algorithm, and the competitions continue to evoke controversy.Full article: http://venturebeat.com/2012/07/23/kaggle...-big-data/ I found the 2) “The Twitter psychopathy competition” especially interesting. Now imagine what can be done using Facebook data. Without sounding like a conspiracy theorist, I can't image what governments are doing with all we've said on the internet (facebook, twitter, forums, sms, skype, phone, etc. etc.). That's another reason not to become a technology slave. DISCLAIMER: If you find a message from me offensive, inappropriate, or disruptive, please ignore it. Cant separate and still carry the weight, gotta heal get away from the fear and the hate. Gotta shake free from them chains, you see what remains, just a human being at the end of the day. |

Don't want to imagine what can do now; technology is advancing too fast and the worst thing is that people is happy to let anybody know about their lives. Yeah, it may sound like a conspiracy but I think this is pretty real. DISCLAIMER: If you find a message from me offensive, inappropriate, or disruptive, please ignore it.
