Man does not want to die, but he wants to have heaven
Man is a peculiar animal. He does not want to die, but he wants to have heaven. But it is true that heaven comes after death. That means if a man wants to taste heaven, firstly he must die.

As a Drishtantoist, avoiding the matter of heaven I follow the principle: ‘Be good only for saving yourself and the world’.

Your brush is too broad. A good bit of extremists will gladly end their own lives on their quest for eternal life. Makes a lot of since, right?

As a puddlist, I hold to the maxim "Jump in puddles, especially deep ones". (Unless you don't wanna get wet, in which case don't. But it's less fun.)

RE: Man does not want to die, but he wants to have heaven
There is no evidence for the existence of any afterlife, whether benevolent (heaven) or malicious (hell). So the 'good word' of atheism is, there is nothing to worry about. Death is just the end of our personal existence, a return to nothingness. In the same way that we were unaware of what happened before our births, so we'll be unaware of what happens after we die.

I was browsing my YouTube subscriptions and I remembered this video, so since it is quite relevant to the topic at hand, I though I'd share it.

I think everyone here can agree that all we want is definitive proof. If science were able to travel into another dimension (or wherever Christians claim Heaven is nowadays) and were able to get indisputable and concurring evidence, then we would have reason to believe. Until such proof is fabricated, then we simply cannot go on baseless faith.

Do you fabricate truth...sounds contradictory to me.

Saving from what?

Silence is only golden when it's not synonymous with a failure to speak out against injustice.
