I apologize in advance, but my wife suggested:

If we came from dust, then why is there still dust?

RE: May I pick your brains...
I consider Louis Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World" to be a great Humanist anthem. He says nothing of deities or magic. The earth's natural cycles are "blessed" day and "sacred" night. He talks about treating everyone as friends, he says that difference between people are "the colors of the rainbow, so pretty in the skies, are also on the faces of people going by"... how wonderful that humanity is not all one way, but still shares humanity.

I love it. Next to Lennon's "Imagine" and a few more modern songs that have spoken out against religion, I cannot imagine something that more seriously sums up what Secular Humanism is about, in its most optimistic sense.

What a wonderful man.

I would dance with my daughter to this, if I had one.

Oh yes, and in keeping with the rest of the thread's responses, I should suggest another type of Mother/Son song...

How about telling him how he was made?

*ducks for cover and runs*

Edit to Add: Y'all should watch that video, though. Lzzy Hale is crazy talented, and has brought the best parts of 80s-90s era Metal to the modern age, and still shows deep respect for the classics. Her cover is astounding. She's the Real Deal Rocker Chick™. She even got a Joan Jett haircut, just before the concert where I saw her last week. She's amaaaingly talented.

RE: May I pick your brains...
Another classic ...

We skipped the light fandango
turned cartwheels 'cross the floor
I was feeling kinda' seasick
the crowd called out for more
the room was humming harder
as the ceiling flew away
when we called out for another drink
the waiter brought a tray

and so it was that later
as a mirror told its tale
that her face at first just ghostly
turned a whiter shade of pale

She said: "There is no reason
and the truth is plain to see"
but I wandered through my playing cards
would not let her be
one of sixteen vestal virgins
who were leaving for the coast
and although my eyes were open
they might just as well've been closed

and so it was that later
as the miller told his tale
that her face at first just ghostly
turned a whiter shade of pale ....
Or...

There's also Annie Lennox's version ...

it's quite dreamy.

Jason Mraz - 93 Million Miles

93 million miles from the sun
People get ready, get ready
'Cause here it comes it's a light
A beautiful light
Over the horizon in to your eyes

Oh, my, my
How beautiful
Oh my beautiful mother
She told me.....

Good luck!

I'm a creationist... I believe that man created God.
