How large are the itchy patches. It could be many things.

He is deformed, crooked, old, and sere,
Ill-fac’d, worse bodied, shapeless every where;
Vicious, ungentle, foolish, blunt, unkind,
Stigmatical in making, worse in mind.

Take a pic and do a google image search.

They're all about as big as half of my thumb.

White and itchy or red and itchy?

Just ignore it and it will go away. Yes

RE: Medical advice
Did you eat anything new when they appeared? What you described sounds like allergic urticaria. If they appeared simultaneously and haven't spread further for a year, then cancer can be ruled out with near full certainty.

In all cases, I'd advise showing these to a dermatologist, they're more likely able to make an exact diagnosis.

I don't think that's it because I don't have any allergies. I'll try to post some pictures of the patches of skin later today.

Allergies can develop at any time during your lifetime. You can suddenly be allergic to something you weren't before. There's hundreds of things it could be, don't freak out, it's probably nothing. Do show us what they look like though.
