Not even wrong.

Atheism is just a lack of belief in gods.

Do you have a choice about being self-aware?

Do you have a choice about falling over due to gravity?

Or are you suggesting that atheists should consider having lobotomies?

He is the Savior of the World; he is our example and our teacher. He lived to give us the way; he taught to give us the truth; he died to give us eternal life.

Happy Birthday, Jesus--and thanks.

It is a wonderful day, is it not?

Merry Christmas you dumb bastard.

Soulless mutants of muscle and intent. There are billions of us; hardy, smart and dangerous. Shaped by millions of years of death. We are the definitive alpha predator. We build monsters of fire and stone. We bottled the sun. We nailed our god to a stick.

RE: Merry Christmas
Just opened Christmas presents with the kiddies, always fun to watch them rip wrapping paper off.

The four dogs are tasting the ribbons and bows.

Everyone is getting along, a minor miracle.

A Very Merry to all.

By the time of his crucifixion, no one was following him anymore. And yet this guy changed the whole world. What did Nero do for us? What did Hitler do for us? What did Alexander the Great do that means anything to us today? Nothing. But we celebrate the birth of a supposed nobody all over the world today.

Yes, agreed, that is pretty remarkable. Few people have had such an impact on history.

We celebrate President's birthdays, without necessarily agreeing with each of their policies. We can do the same kind of thing here, and salute somebody who was a great man at the least.

RE: Merry Christmas
Christmas was celebrated, in way, long before Jesus (briefly mentioned in Free Thought's last post).

It was afterer his time that he became a convenient symbol.

Happy pagan-based holidays to all!

I have duty (military thing where you stay on the ship 24 hours straight), I volunteered since I am a heathen and could care less. Those that have small children and/or have some personal/spiritual/emotional connection to this day should have it off. How "Christ-like" of me. Good times Thumbsup
