Metazoa vs Animal?
I have recently came across my own controversy. The word Metazoa vs Animal. Some sources say metazoa means all animals besides sponges and parazoa.

http://www.thefreedictionary.com/Metazoa

However others say it is all animals.

http://www.britannica.com/EBchecked/topi...65/Metazoa

This paper from 1998 refers to sponges as part of metazoa.
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/9484707
And to add the other subkingdom next to parazoa is now called eumetazoa, which is also refered to metazoa.

It could be that the word is the same as bacteria. The word bacteria is used as both a kingdom and domain and is occasionally eubacteria is used as the domain.

I don't know I am actually asking you guys.Huh
