Yes, it can be interpreted this way. But it can be wrong interpretation. Any way how do they(tribe of Judah) know that this interpretation is right? There is only one way to know. It must be interpreted by a prophet with whom God speaks. There is no prophet with whom God speaks among Jews(tribe of Judah) today.

Interpretation #2 :" Messiah/Christ will be riding on an ass" literally. Yes, it can be interpreted this way. But it can be wrong interpretation. Any way how do Christians know what true interpretation is if there are no prophets of God among them?
But tribe of Joseph has prophets today on earth. They teach correct interpretation.

So, in verse 9 Messiah will be riding on an ass. In verse 10 He shall banish chariots, horses, bows, nations will surrender, His rule shall extend from sea to sea,...

When we read these 2 verses do we have to assume that events in verse 9 and in verse 10 have to happen at the same time, or each verse is just a short list of events which will happen at different times?
Do Jews(tribe of Judah) know? Do they just guess the answer? Do they have a prophet among them today who can tell them? The true answer is no.

what kind of pit is this where there is no water? Who are those prisoners who are freed from the pit by the blood of the covenant?
The answer: Messiah redeemed by His blood (the atonement) all those who are in spirit prison-hell(pit where there is no water). That is why WATER baptism is done for the dead. Paul was talking about baptism for the dead. This happened about 2000 years ago. Jesus Messiah saved prisoners from the pit where there is no water.

No wonder you voted for Trump. Facepalm You're as nuts as he is.
I AM a prophet. Your Jesus Messiah IS an ass, not unlike yourself.

Why do you post this shit here ?
Jesus Messiah had water in his pits. He baptized prisoners with water from the pits. I know this as I'm a junior prophet. HOC tole me so.

You are funny Bucky Ball. Smile

Um, the kind of pits with no water are the ones you dig to stick people in when you don't have ready jails. This phrasing distinguishes them from wells, where you don't put people. It's talking about the return of war captives, as is obvious if you read the whole chapter. In fact, go back and read the first verses of chapter 9:

1 The word of the Lord is against the land of Hadrak
and will come to rest on Damascus—
for the eyes of all people and all the tribes of Israel
are on the Lord—
2 and on Hamath too, which borders on it,
and on Tyre and Sidon, though they are very skillful.
3 Tyre has built herself a stronghold;
she has heaped up silver like dust,
and gold like the dirt of the streets.
4 But the Lord will take away her possessions
and destroy her power on the sea,
and she will be consumed by fire.
5 Ashkelon will see it and fear;
Gaza will writhe in agony,
and Ekron too, for her hope will wither.
Gaza will lose her king
and Ashkelon will be deserted.
6 A mongrel people will occupy Ashdod,
and I will put an end to the pride of the Philistines.

It is plainly clear that the entire section is talking about military vengeance against the enemies who destroyed Israel. This is hardly surprising, since Zechariah was written in 520–518 BCE, following the devastation of the nations of Israel and Judah, and is basically "revenge fantasy" porn for the survivors in captivity.

Taking it out of that context and trying to shoe-horn it into another context requires that you ignore almost literally everything else in the chapter except the verse being shoe-horned.

PS: (In case the context of that reference escapes you, Alla, a "shoe-horn" is a device used to help a person put on shoes by slipping the heel over a metal surface instead of catching on the rim of the shoe, when the entrance is slightly too small to permit easy passage of the foot. It's used as a metaphor to mean "cramming it in where it does not naturally go", especially with regard to context.)

Do you know anyone who accomplished these things? When you turn on the news, do you see peace on Earth? Can you find weapons at Walmart? Has there ever been a time when a Jewish messiah ruled in peace over the entirety of the world?

Who has authority to decide who Christian is?

I do. If you call yourself a Christian and act the way Jesus told you to act (i.e. as a commie pinko bastard) then you are a Christian. If you call yourself a Christian and you act completely opposite of what Jesus said by seeking ephemeral material things at the expense of your fellow man then you are not a Christian, you are a hypocritical blasphemer. It's a pretty simple test. Easy to apply, not so easy to pass. "For many are called, but few are chosen."
