Amen to that Karl. Well put!

Rook, I do think you are on to something. I suspect there is more abuse in the porn industry than many others. I just don't think it's as bad as conservatives and media make it out to be. I think that they have a hard time wrapping their heads around the idea thatthere are those of us who view sex as good and violence as bad. Karl really nailed it.

I can understand if someone chooses to view sex as something sacred. The problem lies within the fact that not everyone else does. The woman I dated viewed her (part time) job as fulfilling, tiring, and something she had a talent for. And strange as it may seem, sex on camera was very different for her than sex with someone she was with. She was comfortable with what she did, and to me that's what matters.

So many cats, so few good recipes.

Hah, right on! Sex good, violence bad. What's with the religious folks getting that completely backwards?

That doesn't really seem strange at all. Actually, I think that's the very thing most people that find porn objectionable would object to. (Well, at least, the ones who don't object to sex for pleasure just in general.) Frankly, it's the reason I don't watch it nightly. I find it emotionless.

It's great for about 5 minutes then I tend to get bored if I can't then DO it. I kinda see it as foreplay.
Each to their own, though.
IMO I don't think it's a respected industry and I have seen documentaries with women who have tried to get out of it because of this and find it hard (pun intended) because they don't want a job with half the pay.
Whatever...

I had a similar experience with my wife. She was raised Fundie Baptist, so she was a real prude when we first met. however, me, as a guy, loves porn. Now she's a raving Nymphomaniac who watches porn on a daily basis with me and she's actually thinking about my proposal to make our own.

I'm finding myself thinking about your proposal too! Big Grin

And this was going on in a church I knew back in my Churchy days. The pastor talking in the opening session started his church meeting in my old church building...

How is that the porn industries fault? When your only notable skill is taking 3 snausages at once, what do you expect?
