No, but seeing as all the meat I eat is domesticated and can not run I thought there was no point.

If you're going to eat another animal, you should at least give it the courtesy of killing it, and acknowledging that fact -rather than letting somebody else do the dirty work all the time and pretending you had nothing to do with it....

It's like an NRA-themed Gish gallop!

What did he sidestep? Consider

Also some false equivocations in his post.

I mean seriously, it's rather insane when you look at it objectively.

We have a currency and exchange system where we pay people for goods and services such that we don't have to do everything ourselves

This is what we humans call "civil society"

I was not avoiding death I was avoiding the use of a gun for my meat

I think it is hard to get reasonable stats. Both sides play a propoganda game.
I would like to know how many homes have hand guns, because crimes are generally carried out with hand guns due to their concealable nature.
I'd like to know how many homes have semi-auto rifles such as AR-15, Bushmaster. I consider an owner of 0.22 and 0.308 and shotgun to be more interested in hunting vermin or game animals but an owner of AR-15, Bushmaster to be more likely to have more interested in war and heroics when compared to the other rifle owners.

Why do you think that? Consider

Also, there are many manufacturers of AR-platform rifles - are you singling out Bushmaster for a reason?

And .223 is a better caliber for varmints than .308 is. Cal .308 is overkill.

Quote:Also it would be interesting to know how many homes have more handguns than adult occupants.

I suspect many do; what interests you about it?

Quote:I would also be interested to know how easy it is for a criminal to get their hands on a handgun, and if general citizen ownership makes this easier for them.
And how many murders are performed by people without prior criminal records.

Apparently, it is pretty easy for a criminal to get a handgun. They often get them from people who buy them legally and sell them illegally.

Quote:We had an anniversary day in NZ not long ago and I had a discussion with an Armed Offender Police officer. I was asking him if he came across pistols much and he said no. Most raids they do, the people don't have guns, occasionally they might have a rifle or a sawn off shotgun, but pistols were rare to encounter.

The overwhelming majority of firearms used in crimes in the U.S. are handguns.

Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.
Science is not a subject, but a method.

You've got an interesting definition of "objectively"

Apparently you find objectivity anything that agrees with your opinion.

Anything else - is "insane"....

I realize you believe that, but you've also apparently found a way to get the idea that I've said "guns = evil" and that I advocate for "taking all the guns." So you're not exactly someone I'd go to for interpreting quite literally anything.

And perhaps it's less insane and more that it is profoundly ignorant and delusional to the point of being verifiably stupid.

I'll tell you what, if you come back with any salient points about the op or the premise of the op, I'll address you. I've spent too much time letting you be a troll.
