"More Guns means Safer" the nonsensical pro-NRA argument
Also, not the point of this thread at all. I believe Mr. Jeffries is correct, and don't care if you disagree with that particular opinion, chas.

RE: "More Guns means Safer" the nonsensical pro-NRA argument
Murder rate -- US in went up in the 80's to a peak, and we're currently lower than the 1970'a per capita. http://www.deathpenaltyinfo.org/murder-r...-and-state
Robbery, assault and rape are lower than they were in the 70's http://www.freerangekids.com/crime-statistics/

BUT

Concealed carry is now legal in over 75 percent of the states - where in the 70's it was practically unheard of.

AND gun ownership is at all time highs....

So -- I'm sure you'll find some way to tell me I'm totally fucked up......

The spike in crime in the 80's surely has nothing to do with the war on drugs?

You do realize these things already have explanations, don't you?

You're still ignoring the basic stats I've shown you. I don't have to dismiss you, your arguments and points dismiss themselves.

Until you start correctly characterizing anything I say, your posts are just strawmen.

We have grocery stores in most places in the 21st century.

You still think most hunters are doing it for survival? Or for sport?

Some of us like the tast of wild meat.
Some of us like to stay somewhat connected to our heritage.
Some of us like the adventure (yes sport).
And as a child it was actually a matter of survival..

Wild meat is tastier, but it is not necessary for survival. As for sport, I don't disagree with sporting, but do think it isn't that sporting to use guns to do it. (As you mention, bows take more skill)

I've gotta say though... If I had to choose one tool at my disposal for a life or death situation involving another human being, it would probably be my simple, inexpensive, Savage 212. It's a slug gun, but I keep some shot just in case... Makes a massive cant-miss spread. If I manage to clip one of my asshole cats in the process, that's a bonus.

You really are a dumbass. Keep cherry picking everything I post, it is amusingly similar to what a YEC would do.

I'd pick a utility knife. Or crossbow, like Darryl.
