Foucault called these types of individuals docile bodies: a body that is useful, but obediently never questions the ‘correct’ way of behaving. While Foucault did not study sport or exercise, many scholars have applied his analysis of bodily discipline to examine the effects of exercise beyond its physical benefits.

Foucault was concerned with a detailed analysis of how various training techniques can discipline. For him, training techniques, although apparently innocent, can be used to control individual’s behavior. He asserted that it is important to carefully analyze the small details of everyday practices to fully understand their effects. Discipline, and thus control, Foucault explained, is tightened by the effective use of space, time, and different exercise techniques.

anything else, asshole?

Yes, I asked what is the psychopathology of "having two left feet" and you copied-and-pasted something about not "having two left feet"--"moving as a unit"--and how that relates to Foucault's concept of embodied discipline and state/private coercion. You don't understand what you are reading.

So your position is that every figure of speech corresponds to a psychopathology? Really? Have you given this much thought?

my goddamn point was that phases and idioms have a psychological aspect to them. The psychological aspect being that certain patterns of behaviors are predictable, and that is where the phrase or figure of speech originates from, retard.

Are you telling me that figures of speech, idioms and phrases have no established psychological patterns?

So according to the your copy-pasta clumsy people are superior to coordinated people because they are less suceptible to corporate and state control. Foucault's point is that discipline of the body is an aspect of coercion from government and state. Perhaps you should try and understand something before blindly copying it? You've never read anything from Foucault and likely this is the first you have ever heard of him so why just blindly copy-and-paste from an article you don't understand and that contradicts the (idiotic) claim that you are trying to demonstrate?

It's behaviour like that which distinguishes you as not just ignorant but unintelligent.

Quote:"my goddamn point was that phases and idioms have a psychological aspect to them."

That's a vacuous statement. Every human behaviour has a "psychological aspect". That is either trivially true or meaningless.

That is a vague and meaningless question. What exactly are "established psychological patterns"? That can mean almost anything.

Clearly you aren't reading sufficiently close.

Very good.

So why aren't you creating threads that are critiques of the Vedas and the caste system? Most of the people here would know very little about either. Instead of posting about something that you probably do know something about you instead post a bunch of generic bullshit that you get from YT videos--bullshit that anyone can post.
