RE: Most Unintelligent Scientific Belief Held by Some Christians?
Rabbi Boteach continues to stun me with his ignorance in any debate I watch him in. One he did with Hitchens, he claimed:
1) Schools teach that the Earth is 16 billion years old 2) Stephen Jay Gould didn't believe in evolution Not exactly scientific beliefs he held, but related and ridiculous nonetheless. (And I know he's not a Christian, but I'm sticking this here anyway. ![]() "Take the risk of thinking for yourself, much more happiness, truth, beauty, and wisdom will come to you that way." - Christopher Hitchens |

Found this gem today. From someone I completely didn't expect to.
http://www.icr.org/article/6533/ It's an article on whale bone inland in Chile. Someone posted a reply link of an article about the flinstones and said it had the same credibility. Ha ha. |

He didn't create us of course - we evolved from monkeys - but after they evolved out of existence, God said "Hey! I liked those!" and created them. My girlfriend is mad at me. Perhaps I shouldn't have tried cooking a stick in her non-stick pan. |

Oh, yes - we believe in micro-evolution, but not in macro-evolution.
Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims. Science is not a subject, but a method. ![]() |
