Mother Teresa, self-admitted non believer, to be canonized
So this Sunday, the Pope will shoot Mother Teresa out of a cannon, I hear, (or is a canon) Tongue
Wish I was in Rome to watch this artillery trick.
She said in her memoirs that she doubted the existence of a god.

The comfy religious deniers try to make happy talk of this, instead of actually taking her words seriously.

It's hilarious they say they have to "prove" her "miracles", yet need *faith*.
Facepalm

Insufferable know-it-all.Einstein God has a plan for us. Please stop screwing it up with your prayers.

RE: Mother Teresa, self-admitted non believer, to be canonized
I now view the idea of "saints" just like any other award given after someone dies.

It's basically an Oscar of the Catholic world.

Or a lifetime achievement award.

They can bend it which ever way they wish to make it seem like they performed "miracles".

But as if to knock me down, reality came around
And without so much as a mere touch, cut me into little pieces

Annnnd the St. Oscar for best actress in a non-supporting role goes to...

Mother Theresa!

This is the first St. Oscar for the actress and due to our policy the last.

She receives this award for a convincing portrayal of a devout nun while courting the worst of humanity.

I used to imagine being "canonised" was being stuffed into the barrel of a large and ancient siege gun!

Then . . .BOOM!!

Tomorrow is precious, don't ruin it by fouling up today.

If she doubted the existence of God that would be a good thing and the least her crimes as a Catholic, she was a greedy psychopath who hastened the deaths of so many while they agonized in pain. Any honest theist should question the God myth more often, then maybe they could try to be accountable for their actions instead of getting off on suffering because that brings you closer to Jesus, what Mother Teresa did for decades, it's sickening.

She was a bitch.

Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors.... on Donald J. Trump:

He is deformed, crooked, old, and sere,
Ill-fac’d, worse bodied, shapeless every where;
Vicious, ungentle, foolish, blunt, unkind,
Stigmatical in making, worse in mind.

From the Hitch.

"[Mother Teresa] was not a friend of the poor. She was a friend of poverty. She said that suffering was a gift from God. She spent her life opposing the only known cure for poverty, which is the empowerment of women and the emancipation of them from a livestock version of compulsory reproduction."

Response from the Vatican:

"If we are honest—and scientists have to be—we must admit that religion is a jumble of false assertions, with no basis in reality.
The very idea of God is a product of the human imagination."

I watched the video of Hitchens covering what Mother Teresa did. It's interesting that he didn't have to use a bit of vitriol, but showed what she really did. That was damning enough, in its own right.
