Mother Teresa to be Canonized
From the front page of CNN:

CNN linky

Quote:Pope Francis has recognized a second miracle attributed to Mother Teresa, paving her way to sainthood.
On Thursday, he ratified a miracle attributed to her after her death, the Italian Catholic Bishops' association's official newspaper Avvenire reported.
To qualify a person for sainthood, an attributed miracle must occur after his or her death.
In this case, a Brazilian man with multiple brain tumors was healed after loved ones prayed to Mother Teresa to heal him, Avvenire reported.

While I can respect some of her work, the woman was not holy. See Hitchens if you haven't heard all that.

Also, of the two "miracles", the first was never considered unusual by medical professionals. I'm willing to bet that the second won't hold up either.

Help for the living. Hope for the dead. ~ R.G. Ingersoll

Freedom offers opportunity. Opportunity confers responsibility. Responsibility to use the freedom we enjoy wisely, honestly and humanely. ~ Noam Chomsky

High-lair-eeeeeeee-ous.
The RCC makes an atheist a saint.

The Collected Letters of Mother Teresa :
"That which I see within myself, I dare not name".

She lost her faith.

The bitch went to India - the most overpopulated country in the world -- and advocated against birth control...

The meddling bitch should have been beaten to death with the bloated, decaying corpse of a child who'd starved to death.....

RE: Mother Teresa to be Canonized
This thread made me think about Mother Theresa this morning, and then someone brought in donuts for the office.

So now she's up to three miracles!!! Big Grin

Now if she could just do something about the dreadful state of the office coffee here, that would be great...

That was Pope John Paul II and her beautification.

This is different.
