I'm going to assume I don't really need a slow cooker for it? I don't have one.

It makes it easier to keep warm but no you can just keep the pot on the stove on low and refill the serving vessel as needed. BTW I usually just use store bought frozen meatballs for this makes it so much easier.

Oh, I make an awesome meatball! I don't mind the extra work. Any other suggestions?

Hot Crab Dip

1 1 lb can of crab meat (whatever is on sale size of pieces does not matter since you will be shredding it but no claw meat only white body)
2 packages of cream cheese
old bay seasoning
bread crumbs

In a stand mixer beat the softened cream cheese until smooth then add the crab meat and Old Bay to taste (I recommend 1 tbsp) . Mix until well combined and put into an oven safe dish top with bread crumbs and sprinkle old bay over the top. Place into a 400* oven for 20-25 mins or until dip begins to bubble on the sides and top is GB&D. Serve hot with water crackers.

What's a hot water cracker?

Swing with me a while, we can listen to the birds call, we can keep each other warm.
Swing with me forever, we can count up every flower, we can weather every storm.

I considered it, did one a few years ago for mothers day. It was a lot of work.

A frittata is a bit easier and can be sliced up. Plus it doesn't hurt to sit a bit (they're good warm or room temperature).
