The subject deserved a much better treatment than just having unemotional, wooden recitals of
person 1: it is an important story
person 2: but Boston has a lot of Catholics who won't like hearing this
person 1: I think they will want to know
person 2: OK
Really? That's the extent of the "fight" to get the story published? Most of the dialog could have been written by using Eliza except that that probably would have come out better.

I've never seen so many people discussing such an emotionally charged topic in such a flat, disinterested way. They all looked bored as hell and were all just waiting for the other person to finish speaking so they could say their next line.

I give it a lot of credit for exposing the details but it could have been SO much better.

Birdman was worse.

Spotlight wasn't as bad. In my opinion.

The haunted mansion movie with Eddy Murphy.

All kinds of suck.

FTR, anything with Kirk Cameron, Nick Cage or Tom Cruise instantly gets a 1 star from me on Netflix.

Just saying.

Hummmm. I forgot they even made that movie. I read the book though.

Wait, they made that into a book??!!! Gasp

Blush I will still watch Top Gun if I see it playing when flipping through channels. Otherwise, I agree.

How did we get to 6 pages and no mention of Howard the Duck?

I'll also vote for any movie with Tom Cruise in it not named Risky Business. He plays the same character in every fucking movie: Hotshot overconfident expert at something has hot girl, gets too cocky and loses in some way but then finds humility and wins girl back.

Marmaduke was painful.

Do you just watch it for the homoerotic volleyball scene?

You didn't like Birdman? Perhaps one has to be in the business. (The great Brian Blade on drums)

You thought little of Spotlight?

Wow. Gasp

I don't like him, either, but Lord Of War was alright.

[Edit]

The Legend Of Boggy Creek is a movie that should NEVER have been made! Hobo
But MST3K's take on it wasn't awful. Tongue

RE: Movies that never should have been made
Is this about movies we think are bad or movies that seem to have zero justification for being made?

One of the top remakes is Poseidon - why? Who the hell was clamoring for a remake of a cheesy 70's disaster flick? It sunk at the box office.

Another one is Ghostbusters, I just don't think this remake is going to be that funny, the trailers weren't funny, I just don't see the appeal of this movie.
