What's wrong with just popping one off every now and than?

edit: ah nevermind, read your post wrong. "no ordinances".

Shoot that bitch!

It's a difficult shot. I don't want to shoot through my house or damage my siding.

Maybe I should be like you and learn how to throw a boomerang or whatever.

I'll chalk this up as a "win" for Team KC.

How would the bird trap work?
Afaik bird traps are usually filled with seeds or other food to lure the bird. How do you lure a woodpecker if there's so much wood around?

I don't really like going outside.
It's too damn "peopley" out there....

If you own a shotgun and don't have neighbors anywhere close by, load it with some fine bird shot and then scare the bird off your house before firing. Problem solved.

Excuse me, I'm making perfect sense. You're just not keeping up.

I'm assuming you've never tried to shoot a bird the size of your palm, 15 to 30 feet away all while it was flying have you?

Despite the spread of a shotgun, this is an insanely difficult shot.
