RE: Must Read!!!!!!
Perhaps one of the most severely repulsive concepts of fundamentalism is being incapable of loving your child if they disagree with your worldview. I'm not a parent, but I have a hard time imagining my parent's throwing away their undying love for me simply because I disagree with them on certain concepts. What a childish reaction blind intolerance provokes: overriding your love for your child since they don't believe in the same tyrannical deity you do. Moral high-ground my ass.

Lol at your mums reasoning.... not trying to keep you there for the safety of your soul, more for the reason of moving in circles.

Maybe your mums not a full believer herself?

For no matter how much I use these symbols, to describe symptoms of my existence.
You are your own emphasis.
So I say nothing.

RE: Must Read!!!!!!
Damn, sorry to hear you got that kind of reaction. I grew up with the mentality that your parents are suppose to love you no matter what you do. If I were in your shoes I would probably keep the discussion of religion away from your family and search for support and information else where. If they are that hardcore into their religion then it is probably best they are left out of it. (At least while you are still living in their home).

Best of luck to you!

RE: Must Read!!!!!!
Not an uncommon a reaction. I got kicked out for far less, with no warnings and the cops escorting me off my dads property.

Time to make backup plans!

My friend Mike helped me get my head on straight the first night I was kicked out:

"You need to focus on what you need to do to survive. The emotions you're feeling can dampen your ability to act and react. Start gathering your nuts, because you'll need ALL of them."

During this time, I suggest (depending on your age) to find support programs. If it does happen, you'll most likely be starting from scratch. And if you don't get kicked out, still, Do. The. Research. It doesn't hurt to do it, because that kind of a threat comes back to haunt you, given your reactions.

Get your ass moving. It's not a joke.
