Here is the 6th blog. It ended up being longer than I originally anticipated.

It's all very interesting, but what about the hookers and blow? Sadcryface2

Allow me to answer that question with a post I made earlier this year...

I think I'll spare you a lifetime of therapy. Just imagine a halogen bulb being grinded on by a stripper. Anyways, if I get the scholarship, one stipulation is that I create a presentation complete with details of all that I did. I'm supposed to give the talk to prospective study abroad students. My chosen demographic will be non-traditional students (veterans and those older than average) like myself. Even if I don't get the scholarship, I still plan to post plenty of pictures and all of my notes for a given day on a blog.

RE: My Africa blog
Here is the Google Earth view of the base camp at which I stayed in Olduvai Gorge, Tanzania. The buildings on the left (top to bottom) are the lab, the dining area, the shower, and the dorms. The latter were reserved for senior researchers. The stretch of land below the dorms is where the field school students camped in tents. The line of buildings off to the right are where the Maasai and local workers lived during the field season. This was originally the workers' village for the famous paleoanthropologists Mary and Louis Leakey. They lived in a separate camp across the Gorge.

RE: My Africa blog
I've finally found the time to start writing on my Africa blog again. I technically should have had all of it done by Jan. 15 to fulfill my scholarship requirements. But I was swamped with school work this past semester. I've asked for an extension and I'm going to slave to finish them by that date. I'm almost done with my next entry. I will post it shortly.

Ok, here is the 7th post. It's a bit long because a lot happened on that particular day. I'll try to keep the others shorter.

This is the 8th blog. I describe a trek around the gorge and a trip to a lion den.

Will do. I technically should have had all of them done by January 15th (the 6th month mark after my return), but I was swamped with school work. I'm hoping to churn the rest out by the end of the month.
