My Brain is Reeling
It feels like a TV switching 30 channels a second. I hope I wind down soon.

Too much coffee? A panic attack? Did something happen?

Is this common for you?

RE: My Brain is Reeling
It's uncommon but not unheard of. It's not panic. It's like frantic but my heart isn't racing. It's sort of like watching my brain when you're just coming on an acid trip. Like before it gets loopy. Like when you're tripping but you haven't actually realized you're tripping yet. It's like that but not like bad trip scary and like I'm watching it from a distance instead of experiencing it rough and tumble first hand.

RE: My Brain is Reeling
I have no idea what that might be. Maybe you should go and see someone about it, if it happened more than once.

Sad do you have a physician you can see?

Can you try meditation?

Yeah

My doctor knows

Thanks

I'm only guessing with the neurochemistry but I think my serotonin dries up and then floods. I take pills that are supposed to even me out. Without medicine my mind loops in these really painful negative cycles. I think sometimes it just kind of rebels against the pills.

Maybe what you are taking needs to be adjusted or changed to something else.

I understand the negative loops...I went on a low dose of an antidepressant that helped a little but when I got stuck, I was stuck. It was really bad when I was driving to work and home...music sometimes helped...then I started listening to standup comedy. That would almost always break the cycle, at least for a while.

You have to find the distraction - diversion that works for you.
