Exclamation My Chemical Madness Intro
I was and most probably will be called a mental, immoral, and a turd by everyone in my immediate vicinity. Who happens to all live in the third most religious country in the world according to a gallop poll done recently. What worries me the most is that they call me mentally ill when none out of the four psychiatrists I was forced to see weren't consistent with their diagnosis. Leading me to think I am just being forced to be religious at all cost by the very people I love the most. But that's the hardships of being an atheist in such a country. I'll have to leave this country for a better one soon.

I was born to a Buddhist family. They were moderately Buddhist. Early on at about age three I started disliking the inconveniences that I have to go through to appease the turd Buddha. By about age eighteen I am proud to say I am fully inoculated from religion of all four thousand two hundred odd kinds.

The main reason I joined the forum is because of the opportunity to be among like minded people and also to seek further inoculation.

To that end, I would like to know how can I improve my logical prowess. Even though, I am quite educated my experience and knowledge in logic is minimal. Any help in that regard will be appreciated.

Anyway, sorry for the long introduction. I wanted to get this one out about how I feel about being an atheist in a country full of turds. More than honestly, I feel much better now.

Welcome to TTA.

Being the curious (nosy) person that I am, I googled for most religious countries.

I found a Gallup poll from 2010

And a more recent article from 2015 which contains Gallup data. It also has a Pew Research prediction for 2050.

As neither source contains a clear 'third most', I'm none the wiser.

Turdistan?

What jumped out at me was the change in the highest figure each time:
2010 = 99%+
2015 = 94%
2050 = 79%

So there's hope.

Thanks.

I was there on Thursday. How come your airport doesn't have an ATM?

Huh

I think they are too busy believing that there will be an ATM.

But for your info, there are some in the arrivals terminal area if I remember correctly. I haven't used them though.

Welcome. Isn't it interesting that some of the most religious countries in the world are also the most violent. Hummmm. Consider

Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors.... on Donald J. Trump:

He is deformed, crooked, old, and sere,
Ill-fac’d, worse bodied, shapeless every where;
Vicious, ungentle, foolish, blunt, unkind,
Stigmatical in making, worse in mind.

Welcome to the forum Smile Is Buddhism the dominant religion in your country then?
