possibly, my count is somewhere around 20 give or take. It might also have been the group rather than the system as a whole since most of those People came from the same group.

Yes, groups take on a vibe or mode.
I've seen real Jesus groups and I have seen humanist groups, even atheist groups.
I suppose birds of a feather flock together.

Most groups are a mixed bag.

Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.

RE: My Sister, the AA Member and her Relentless Preaching
I know that hearing people say you should drop contact with family is hard. But sometimes for a message to get through you have to show tough love. Sad I know its hard girl but as the saying goes:

"If you want something you've never had before you have to do something you've never done before"

Hopefully it works out for you, whatever it is you decide to do.

Noted, but for the group that I had experince with my assement was pretty accurate. In the future I will make a few qualifacations about my AA opinion. However despite the "Found Jesus" part I do belive what I said about AA. It has a habit of treating the symptoms and not the root cause. Replace your addiction with this new focus, make the group your hobby. Not saying it doesn't work for some people but most addics have deeper issues than AA really deals with IMO.

Well, again you are generalizing from very limited exposure and a lack of knowledge about how it works.

I'd suggest not opining about it at all.
