My favorite Artist
He does his art with blood. I find his work wonderful. The shadow and contrast is a thing of beauty. You need to see his work. I have one of his pieces and love it. I'm carving a Gothic frame this summer for it. I cant wait to start.

There's no denying he's a good artist. He definitely has some serious talent. Not really my cup of tea but I can see the allure. Though I'll never understand the need for painting with blood. Paint isn't that expensive. Wink

You missed his point. Did you read anything about the artist? He is great! My son got me one of his works. I will treasure it all my days. I really cant wait to start on the frame. You would hate it I am sure. Gothic and skulls maybe on the top a grim reaper. I haven't decided. It will look very cool.

Wow, yeah he's really good! I read his "about" section at your suggestion, NEOA, and it's very interesting. He is expressing that the painting, typically the subject being a person, is painted using flesh as a medium. He's also got sort of a supernatural aspect to the way he views the medium.

All-in-all though, it's not really my thing. I'm not big into the gothic style, but I can appreciate it's skilled creation.

RE: My favorite Artist
Where visual art is concerned I don't feel the need to know the artist at all. Visual art either speaks to someone or it doesn't. There shouldn't be any need to explain your art.
I feel differently about music and the written word as it becomes more important to hear the message the artist is attempting toget across. It's supposed to either come from them or be told the way they mean it to be. So who they are can actually affect how I view their art.
Really it's all about what you like and why you like it, so all the power to you man!
