Tell your hubby he is missing out on awesomeness. And so are you.

To tell the truth, I find I can get similar results in a pressure cooker as a crockpot. Don't get me wrong, I use both, crockpot is right for potluck parties, pressure cooker is right for chili on a Wednesday night, but other than the vast difference in time, I honestly can't tell the difference. BBQ pulled pork shoulder in the pressure cooker for an hour, for example, is even more fork tender than the crockpot for 8-10 and the pressure acts like a flavor injector. ... Could just be my unsophisticated palate, though.

Oh I used to have a pressure cooker! I loved that thing! I used to make my own "canned" stews, soups, tomato sauces, everything., when my youngest was a baby. It was soooo nice to be able to go to the shelf and have dinner!

Gosh...what happened to that thing?

Wind's in the east, a mist coming in
Like something is brewing and about to begin
Can't put my finger on what lies in store
but I feel what's to happen has happened before...

I think I have four...some get used for holiday meals to keep things warm, like mashed potatoes, works great. And no, none of the cream of whatever soup recipes any more.

Oh another benefit he probably never thought about. Smile
