RE: My screws are killing me...
Wow!

The US documentaries we got when I was a kid made me think that that kinda surgery was expensive and unusual

RE: My screws are killing me...
My oldest brother played college hockey and his knees are a disaster.
BUT, at least he has the sense to live on the Left Coast.
All you wusses need to come live in San Diego.
It gets to about 55, and people go "brrrr". Weeping
Most people who live near the ocean never even turn on their AC, (if they even have it).
Boring, but ... we "suffer through" boring.
(Actually over in Alpine, they have snow at night sometimes .. if ya REALLY need 4 seasons, we have 'em).

Tempting. I do miss the seasons. Sigh.

For those of you shivering right now, if it's any consolation, it's quite chilly here now, but it is night-time.

29C, 84F ... very brrrrr!

I dread to think how I'd be feeling if I was all screwy / screwed up like KC.

Maybe its time for a party in a hot tub! It should warm your bones.

crazy cold in NC too. temp 8*F ( -13C) with a windchill of -1* when I took the kids to the bus stop this morning. We normally get just a couple nights that the temps drop to below freezing but bounce back up during the day. Maybe 4"-6" of snow for an entire winter…but only some years.

My brother is in Duluth, Minnesota. He took these photo's yesterday, said the temp was -33F with windchill of -55F ( -36C / -48C )[img]

It was 9ºF when I went to the doctor's this morning. Skating weather. Smile

Doesn't mean I have to like it, though. And, you just went all KC's Law on me Tongue

Big Grin

If you think your screws are giving you fits in your barely chilly weather, be glad you don't have single-digit and sub-zero temps and these metallic additions. Shocking

I had to shut my eyes, Chas. I just can't THINK of how bad that would hurt.
