T rings can be found here. Basic adapter here. Adjustable adapter here. Various barlows here. Of course, you don't have to use a barlow as I found out later, since adapters will actually screw into the inside of the universal adapter. So you can in essence mix and match to what you want to take a picture of. The t rings are made for all kinds of various cameras. Probably won't right now, but that would be a very cool idea and project for myself in the future. Even though I know it's already been done, it would be cool to do it for myself. I would like to get pictures of the various planets as well. Saturn especially. I'm glad it inspired you and a goal ![]() |

RE: My very first attempts at astrophotography
Wow, I am glad I stumbled onto this post. I am just about to get started in Astrophotography myself, but I only got myself a Canon 1100D. I am hoping on getting a telescope after I move further south, here in Korea, in April. I am really excited about it, and whenever I see someone's photo of a planet, even a fuzzy one, I get excited because it makes me feel so great. I think it is the closest thing to being spiritual for myself; trying to understand the universe!
Keep stacking the Jupiter photos and keep them coming! ![]() |
