Myself from India
Hi,

I am a youth. Born and brought up in a theistic family. Oriented toward philosophical thinking. I am still a God fearing theist. I am not sure whether I should be part of this community.

Hi.

1) Why are you a theist?

2) What kind of theist?

3) Why do you blatantly ignore all the evidence against a God and choice to believe in an invisible man (or cow or multi-headed thing w/e it is you believe in) in the sky?

4) Don't you think your upbringing was the result of your beliefs today?

Agile

Should?

By whose authority should you not be part of this community?

Are you open to debate and listening to different ideas?
Are you willing to learn and perhaps change you views?
Can you bring enlightenment (on any subject of your choice) that will help others here widen their horizons?

If yes, to any of the above, you are welcome.

Even if you only say something amusing that will brighten our days (or nights), you are welcome too.

In short... welcome to the community.

Smile

Weclome aboard.

What DLJ said!

RE: Myself from India
welcome, more theists here the better. hard to debate if everyone's on the same team.

Theism is to believe what other people claim, Atheism is to ask "why should I".

RE: Myself from India
Welcome.

What religion?

Do you just think it's true because your culture/parents/family/religious leader says so or do you have an actual reason?

We have some resident theists who are good additions to the community. No reason you can't be.

Why did you come? Just curious?
