It was when Bambi's mom died. I was ~6 at the time. I just felt so sad for him!

So far, the only movies that have made me cry, are both written by Aronofsky.

Requiem for a Dream
-Climax point in which Ellen is seen almost skeleton like on the hospital bed. Almost in non-human condition.

The Fountain
-Hugh realizing that his efforts to keep Rachel with him were in vain. She was happy to die. He could never let go.

Plenty of movies have brought a tear to my eyes the first time around, but one that always gets me is the opening montage of Up. Both sad and beautiful.

I spent a great many years repressing all emotion. Now I have learned not to do that and, as a result, it takes very little to provoke an extreme emotional response from me. So any movie that makes me think about anything that could be considered remotely sad will have this effect on me.

Unless it just plain sucks.
