Nearly Useless Factoid of the Day
Louisiana is home to over 80% of the world's crawdads.

As it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
And I will show you something different from either
Your shadow at morning striding behind you
Or your shadow at evening rising to meet you;
I will show you fear in a handful of dust.

We call them crayfish and most of ours come from the coast of Tasmania (the smaller ones come from Western Australia).

They are so yum. I like Crayfish Mornay or Thermidor. Really expensive tho Sad

Humankind Dodgy (a total misnomer)

Lobster is a little rare here and is imported anyway. I've never tried it....

Although I don't think I could eat eyeballs Dodgy

You're missing out (lobster, not eyeballs Big Grin)!

I would eat eyeballs if I had the chance, I'll try anything once (even haggis)! I had Kangaroo and Crocodile when I was in Australia, that's something that would be considered, unusual to say the least, in England.

Just buy a whole fish and leave the head on when you cook it. The eyeballs are delicious. I'm also of the opinion that I'll try anything once. Only things I've found so far which I will never try again are Limburger cheese and sea urchin.

As it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

For anyone who is too lazy to search the web and, like me, didn't know what a crawdad was: it's a tiny lobster.

As a rule, I don't eat bugs. Except shrimp when it's been prepared beyond recognition for what it truly is.

Kangaroo is excellent - as it's very high in protein and very low in fat and it's just like beef except a bit 'gamier'.
I like venison too, especially with a wild mushroom sauce...hmmmm
I also like most offal including braaaaains. I'd make a good zombie Wink
But you can't beat a crispy skin duck!!! Oh crap, I just dribbled on my desk Big Grin

Humankind Dodgy (a total misnomer)

I liked Kangaroo, I'll defo have more of that if I go to Australia again. Not a big fan of Venison though.

LOVE crispy duck, though to be honest, who doesn't?
