Need help cooling my laptop
hi everyone,

as said in the title my laptop overheats, I have a HP pavilion DV7 with a cooling pad that runs with it 24/7 and I have it on the coolest settings although for some reason the settings revert back to the medium settings (runs the fan when above a certain temp.) it is summer and about 32 Celsius or about 90 Fahrenheit or it feels like it is about 40 C or 104F and I am worried that it might burn out a processor, what can I do to cool it other than having liquid nitrogen flowing through it in tubes

thanking you in advance,
AkhmenHotep

Have you tried contacting HP Support?

Does it sound different than when you bought it?
Might just be the van. Try to vacuum and/or clean it with spray air in that case.

Not sure if ice is a good idea. You want to remove the source of the overheating, not the symptom.
I would check if the van is dirty / moving too slow / broken in some way. Go from there because that's the simplest thing that could be and easy to solve.
If it's not the van and you are not fit with hardware go to a computer specialist but in that case, don't forget to backup your system

Or you could stick it in the freezer for awhile.
