RE: Need help educating my teen about sex
No sex talk for me either, my parents only handed me Preparing for Adolescence by James Dobson. Undecided Ironically, it hadn't occurred to me to masturbate until he brought it up in the book, so it wasn't all bad. Thumbsup

Reading books on it might be good for you to prepare, but as tempting as it might be, I wouldn't give him one as an alternative to a real conversation. That might sub-communicate that sex is something awkward and embarrassing.

Just out of curiosity, would he get in trouble if you caught him with porn? I know it's illegal since he's only 13, but with the internet it's probably inevitable.

"I feel as though the camera is almost a kind of voyeur in Mr. Beans life, and you just watch this bizarre man going about his life in the way that he wants to."

RE: Need help educating my teen about sex
I have two daughters, 16 and 20. Sex talk is candid in my house. Like this, "Hey! If you and him are gonna be fuckin tonight, wear a god damn rubber. This isn't a joke, it takes one time to change your life."

My oldest is super straight edge and seems to hate it. No good conversations with her about enjoying sex. She doesn't even like seeing dudes at the basketball court with their shirts off. LOL

My younger one would be in more trouble for sneaking around behind our backs. She spends so much time at dance class and school that she'd have to run off behind the bleachers for any action.

My wife gets uncomfortable with my candor, but I think it's important to de-stigmatize the act.
